Is Driftmail really free?
Yes. There are no plans or limits to unlock, and you never need an account.
How long does my address last?
Your address is saved in this browser, so it's still here when you come back. Messages are deleted automatically 24 hours after they arrive, and an address nobody has opened for a week is released.
Can I send email from this address?
No. Driftmail only receives mail, which keeps it from being used for spam.
Is it safe to open emails here?
Messages render in a sandboxed frame that can't run scripts, and remote images are blocked until you choose to load them. Links open in a new tab.
What shouldn't I use it for?
Anything you need long-term access to, like banking, work accounts or password recovery. Your inbox is tied to this browser, so if you clear its data you lose access to the address.
